Cooking Classes for Kids!

Build Confidence. Eat Local. Have Fun!

All King Girls Kitchen classes are taught by certified Vermont educator Elizabeth King, and are designed to be hands on and FUN!

Elizabeth is passionate about helping kids (and adults!) feel comfortable, happy and connected in the kitchen. She uses local ingredients as much as possible for the best flavor, nourishment, and connection to our shared community. It is our hope that by learning culinary skills, students will feel empowered & confident and will learn to love good food at an early age.

Classes are divided by age group, to allow for developmentally appropriate challenge, and include both single-day workshops and 4-week series. This means you can select just the right class to fit your schedule and student. All classes are held at King Girls Kitchen, 26 Saxon Ln, Jericho, VT.

Transportation information

Students can take the bus from JES, UCS or BRMS.

  • Bus 4 serves Skunk Hollow Rd & I will meet students at the corner of Skunk Hollow & Saxon Ln (my driveway).

  • Please be sure to send your note to inform the school that your child will be getting off the bus at Saxon Lane.

  • Students will also see a sandwich board sign with our logo at the end of the driveway so they will know they are in the right place!

  • Our driveway is about a 2-3 minute walk, so students will get a chance to stretch their legs & get some fresh air before we get started on our project for the day.

Students may be dropped off.

  • Students may be dropped off between 2:45-3:05pm (12:45-1:05 for early dismissal classes)

  • Depending upon our timing, students may either be dropped off at the house, or at the corner of Skunk Hollow & Saxon Lane, where I’ll be waiting to meet the bus.

  • We are located at 26 Saxon Lane, Jericho (off of Skunk Hollow Rd)

  • On class days, you will see a sandwich board with our logo at the corner of Skunk Hollow & Saxon Lane (our driveway), to make it easier to find us. Saxon Lane dead ends into our yard, and students should enter through the front door with the ramp.

Pickup After Class:

  • Students should be picked up at our home kitchen no more than 15 minutes after class end time (early dismissal classes end at 3pm, after school workshops end at 5pm)

  • We are located at 26 Saxon Lane (off Skunk Hollow Rd)

  • On class days, you will see a sandwich board with our logo at the corner of Skunk Hollow & Saxon Lane (our driveway), to make it easier to find us. Saxon Lane dead ends into our yard, and when you arrive come right in through the front door with the ramp & our kitchen is right there!

  • If students are traveling home with another family, please let us know, either via phone or email!

Please contact Elizabeth if you have any questions or aren't sure which class would be a good match for your student! We're also happy to extend a discount for siblings or when you enroll in multiple class sessions.
